The excitement did not end there. Canva set off that excitement with their ‘Droptober’ update by releasing a veritable gamut of additional tools and features to enhance user creativity. How exciting the designed upgrades meant to boost the design platform of this product can be gleaned from the press release made by Canva to Lifewire.

Perhaps the most thrilling is Dream Lab, an advanced image generator accessed using Leonardo. Ai-a purchase Canva made in July 2024. This creation tool is entirely siloed to produce unique images that can be easily combined into the design. The other feature is “reference image,” like Adobe’s ‘Structure Reference,’ which lets people create even more precise images.
Another new feature is Branded Captions, which helps create captions aligned with your branding style. Whiteboard tools received some improvements: feature organization, simplifying summaries using Magic Write, and the usability of Reactions on sticky notes for real-time feedback that could take place during team sessions.

Here, there will also be polls and quizzes for presentations and social media posts. Magic Write is getting intelligent suggestions and commands—”more like this” or “this but,” for example — making a more intuitive approach to content creation.

Custom Mockups: Users can put their images into various mockup templates and have new interactive charts, such as Area and Statistical Charts.
Some are already available, like Dream Lab and Branded Captions, while others, like Mockups, polls, and quizzes, are “coming soon.” Some will only be accessible if a user pays for a professional subscription.
