Otter.ai is looking to do just that by extending its language support – French and Spanish, in addition to English – for its mobile apps. Otter.ai Adds French and Spanish Transcription Beyond English, Otter.ai is introducing transcription for French and Spanish in its mobile apps, the company said in a press release to Lifewire. Users can select whatever language they’d like to use while recording and transcription through either an Android or iOS device. However, Otter.ai does not translate the language; its users must know what they want to be transcribed.

The app is accessible on both mobile and web devices. Otter.ai integrates with calendars, auto-records, and automatically transcribes virtual meetings on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet. The mobile app captures live conversations, allowing users to edit the transcripts for accuracy at a later time.

It offers a free Basic plan with 300 minutes of transcription monthly. The recordings are capped at 30 minutes each, and three file imports are allowed. The Pro plan is $16.99/month or $100 per year. The limit increases to 1,200 minutes per month, with each recording up to 90 minutes long and up to 10 monthly file imports. Business and Enterprise plans will be helpful for more extensive transcription time or team support.
