Utilizing a proprietary birdbath lens system, the Xreal One boasts a 1080p resolution with a 50-degree field view. I watched Netflix’s Rebel Ridge during my flight; it was surprisingly immersive. The glasses weigh just 84 grams, so you don’t feel much discomfort, and they don’t entirely obscure your view, which makes things more convenient. On the flip side, dark scenes Display pixelation, which would only thrill fans of films with a bit of visual action like The Dark Knight.
The audio experience is provided through Bose speakers, part of the glasses. The quality is superior to similar products such as Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses. I paired my Sonos Ace headphones with my iPad for better audio for my flight, and it worked seamlessly.

The Xreal One relies on a USB-C connection for screen mirroring. While many AR devices come with complex software, Xreal keeps it simple and focused on being a portable Display. This straightforward approach makes it easy to use without unnecessary complications.
Xreal’s CEO Chi Xu said that over half a million glasses have been sold since the company launched in 2017. Most people depend on these glasses for entertainment at home and traveling to meet business clients. This isn’t like some headsets trying to be jacks of all trades with multiple features; it has simply mastered one: providing the convenience of portable entertainment.
