Samsung is set to fight against Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses with its high-end wearable. Now in development with Google and Qualcomm, its smart glasses are scheduled to hit Q3 2025, July through September. And it is set to coincide with its summer Unpacked event, which typically features some of Samsung’s biggest new products, such as foldable phones and, this time, possibly even the Galaxy Ring.

The specs closely align with Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses using the AR1 chip. Their Samsung glass, on the other hand, is expected to have a difference- the Google Gemini AI system, which may offer features like live translation and others with more seamless interactions.

Production and Launch Details
The initial number of units planned to be produced in the first round by Samsung is 500,000. Although the launch is behind schedule compared to what initially awaited people, the delay gives Samsung ample time to perfect its product and respond to events, such as Apple’s Vision Pro launch.
After all, the glasses will likely be seen first at CES 2025, to be held in January, or with the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S25 expected for January 23. Samsung repeated this strategy when unveiling the Galaxy Ring, where teasers were rolled out months before the launch.
