Originally, Apple was rumored to release a less expensive Apple Vision model, designed with lower-cost materials and lower-resolution displays and without EyeSight support to make spatial computing accessible to more users. However, Kuo now indicates that this option will be removed in the near future.

Kuo also reports that Apple still intends to release an updated Apple Vision Pro next year, featuring the M5 chip and Apple Intelligence support. However, further hardware upgrades are yet to be confirmed.
Comparing this delay to Apple’s experience with the HomePod mini, Kuo suggests Apple remains cautious. The HomePod mini was not the one that put Apple’s smart speakers in the mainstream, despite its being cheaper. The same can be said for Apple: it does not appear to believe that a $2,000 headset would drastically increase the reach of vision.
