Recently, cops seize phone and laptop of an unknown celebrity in connection with the death of Matthew Perry the actor of Friends series. This big news emerges in the wake of Perry’s life untimely demise in October last year with much controversy as to whether his death was natural.
Matthew Perry’s Death
In ‘Oct, 2023, it was reported that Matthew Perry had been found unconscious in his house in LA. His body was taken to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy was conducted and it was announced in December that Perry died because of “the acute effects of the ketamine.” The medical examiners attributed the cause of his death as accidental.

The other causes of death mentioned in the autopsy report included drowning, coronary artery disease, and an opioid, buprenorphine. These details have amplified concern of the situation and called for more investigation.

In the last month, the LAPD have stated that they are have formed a partnership with the DEA to embark on a criminal probe. They want to know how Matthew Perry got his hands on the substances which were in his blood when he died.
Perry had been receiving Ketamine infusion therapy for his anxiety and depression which he humorously addressed in his recent book, Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing. However, it was reported that his last ketamine infusion was administered one and a half week before death and hence the drugs identified in the body were not used to treat him.
Several sources confirming the story from The Hollywood Reporter put the lasting impact of a ketamine infusion at between three to four hours, prompting even more uncertainty over the sequence of events in Perry’s passing.

Following the results from the medical examiner, LAPD has proceeded into investigation on the circumstances that led to death of Perry. They are getting help from not only DEA but also is the United State Postal Inspection Service, which also suggests that the case is serious and all sided.
With reference to this probe, police officers raided the residence of this unknown personality using a warrant. It was said that this person was gone running when the police arrived at the house, and that when this individual got back, he/she complied with the policemen/policewomen.
According to reports from In Touch, the police searched her room and took an iPhone and a computer as evidence. Importantly, the celebrity was neither handcuffed nor arrested during this process.

Reports have surfaced suggesting that the unnamed celebrity and Matthew Perry had a unique connection. The two reportedly met while in rehab, which led to an unexpected relationship.
A source close to the situation mentioned that the celebrity has hired legal representation and has participated in multiple meetings with law enforcement officials since the police arrived at her sober living house. Although she is being discreet about the investigation, there are indications that law enforcement had substantial reasons to execute the search warrant.
