Samsung just rolled out the November 2024 security update to its flagship Galaxy S24 series, which initially had started with only the United States. It is now available for users in other regions like Europe, and we look forward to enhancing the security capabilities of the Galaxy S24 series.
Galaxy S24 Series Now Receiving November 2024 Security Patch Across Europe
The new software rollout for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra versions in Europe carries the firmware S92xBXXS4AXJB. The update brings the November 2024 security patch with fixes for 51 previously identified security vulnerabilities, better-protecting devices from their earlier versions.
This new release also improves the auto blocker feature. When Maximum Restrictions is selected, all USB devices except chargers are blocked.
For European Galaxy S24 series users, it can be found in Settings > Software update > Download and install. Otherwise, users can fetch the firmware file from the Samsung database and manually upgrade their device using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.
Looking Ahead: One UI Updates and Android OS Upgrades
The Galaxy S24 series, launched sometime this year, came with One UI 6.1, which is based on Android 14. A few months ago, it was updated to One UI 6.1.1, which introduced many new Galaxy AI features, improved One UI functionalities, and enhanced performance.
Samsung is said to roll out an Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta for the Galaxy S24 series later this month, with a stable release expected early next year. This will be the first major Android OS update for the Galaxy S24, with six further OS updates scheduled for the series.
In summary, Samsung’s November 2024 security update and recent improvements on One UI emphasize its commitment to continuous improvement in security and user experience for Galaxy S24 series users worldwide.
