An illegal streaming app is found on Apple’s App Store but available only from countries outside the U.S. Such applications have been known to operate from France, Canada, and the Netherlands. Dubbed “Univer Note,” the app is under the category of productivity apps that describe themselves as an app aimed to “help you organize daily events and plan your time.” However, in certain countries, like France and Canada, users find a library of pirated movies, including Venom: The Last Dance, Joker: Folie à Deux, and Terrifier 3. The options are in-app and written in the original language, with French subtitles or dubbing.
It also advertised the productivity features only seen by users, only found where they’re not banned and available, such as in the U.S., which helps Kimi stay far from review attention just as other piracy apps do. A recent example is one application masquerading as vision testing, but this was quickly removed since some of the media detailed true intentions. At the same time, Kimi could not have commented on the inquiries whether it commented about this app’s showing at Apple.
